august 2018 to September 2018

Goal: $25,000

Purpose: To allow SVDP to sponsor two to three Orange County families experiencing extraordinary hardship circumstances due to debilitating health issues. this is an extension of the founder's legacy: sponsoring families in need.

Financial Support: Up to twelve months of material assistance.

Henry and Connie are wonderful parents to Sarah and Dylan. They live in Garden Grove and are active parishioners at St. Columban; Henry is a member of the Knights of Columbus and Connie is involved with the school. Henry is a professional IN COMPUTERS and Connie works part time so she can be very involved in raising their children. In early 2018, Henry (38 years old) was diagnosed with Gliobastoma (GBM), the most aggressive form of brain cancer. At this time, there is no cure. He has undergone brain surgery and various treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, physical therapy and clinical trials that provide hope and quality of life.

Henry and Connie are grateful for the support, prayers and financial donations, and hope to stay in their rental home located in a safe neighborhood as Henry battles cancer.

Unfortunately, their financial obligations are overwhelming due to medical bills and less income given Henry's disability status and Connie's inability to work as she is now the primary giver for Henry as well.

The Family Fund serves to help families, like the Nguyens, experiencing extraordinary hardships.
